Full-fat extruded soya
If we take 100 units of the nutritional value of protein of chicken egg, then cooked soybeans, it is 94.5 units, soy flour 91,7, and 95,3 for soy milk. Soya protein is only slightly inferior than dietary proteins of beef and dairy. Soya is much richer in essential amino acids, than grain crops. For example, the lysine in soybean meal at 2.5 - 3 times higher than in wheat. And soybean oil contains very useful lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids. Soybeans have good mineral composition: they have twice more iron, potassium 3,5 - 4 times more, twice more thiamin (vitamin B) than in cereals.
Soybean as complete feed, has its advantages and disadvantages.
MAIN ADVANTAGE OF SOYA:
- contains soya proteins that are necessary for the rapid growth of the animals, but the animals themselves are produce those proteins in very small quantities.
MAIN DISADVANTAGE OF RAW SOYBEANS:
- Soya beans contain a substance (trypsin inhibitor), constraining the growth of animals who consume raw soybeans for food.
BENEFITS OF FULL-FAT SOYA:
- Full-fat extruded soybeans - a product of processing of soybeans to removal of substances harmful to humans and animals. Used as a raw material for feed or other soybean products of food, feed and technical.
- Soybean oil is used separately, as well as in the production of margarine and mayonnaise. In soybean oil there are a lot of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, particularly linoleic acid,that is not synthesized in the body and comes only with food.
- Soybean oilcakes with fat up to 8%, is used as complete feed.
- From soya isolate, recieved from the purification of beans from non-protein fraction, make "vegetarian meat". The protein content in it - up to 90%. Isolate is also used as an additive in sausages and pate. Also on this basis soya milk is made - the product sometimes useful for those who are allergic to cow's milk. The fact is that there is no lactose in soya, the main reasone of its intolerance.
